NEW Free Painting Class to help you feel calm and develop your style
If you’ve been following me for a while, or maybe listened to my interview on The Creative Genius Podcast, you know I’ve spent the last fifteen years not only teaching and painting but also writing.
Specifically, I’ve been writing a fiction novel about a girl who can jump into her paintings. Last year, I hired an editor to help me revise the finished manuscript. I dreamed of working with a specific literary agent, and earlier this year, she happened to be speaking at a luncheon in California. So, I got on a plane, flew from Wisconsin to LA, attended the luncheon, and introduced myself.
Surrounded by other book lovers, not knowing a soul, I finally met my dream agent. A month later, I submitted my finished manuscript, but unfortunately, it wasn’t for her.
After years of dreaming, that experience broke my heart. I'll be querying other agents in the next few months, but first, I'm taking a step back to paint.
Painting has always been a healing process for me, so I’m pouring my heart and soul into a beautiful new collection inspired by new beginnings that I can’t wait to share with you soon!
The invitation is to slow down, take a breath, and get calm. Take your journal or sketchbook and play with watercolors, color in a coloring book or just pick up a pencil and doodle. I’ve put together a New Free Painting Class to help you get started here.
